As a child, I was highly intuitive, sensing things beyond my explanation. It wasn’t until I deepened my spiritual practice that I realised some of the visions and sensations I’d experienced from a young age weren’t just my imagination, they were glimpses of something that extended beyond me.

Coming from a background in fashion education, I’ve always been deeply drawn to creativity, whether through art, music, writing, or poetry. I didn’t realise it back then, but this would eventually become my light language. At the same time, I was equally fascinated by mysticism and the unseen. Childhood films like Hocus Pocus and Practical Magic, and TV shows like T-Bag, Grotbags, Charmed and Sabrina felt like home to me and sparked my fascination with the esoteric.

I, in fact, ultimately wanted to be Penny Crayon. She had a magical crayon that would bring whatever she drew to life. As you read on, you’ll see in some ways I did become her. However, much like today, schools in the 90s expected you to choose subjects that led to a 'real' job, so being an artist or a witch wasn’t exactly considered a proper career which left me feeling stuck for many years. Eventually, I pursued studies in fine art and Fashion Hair and Makeup (cue Penny Crayon), which led me to move to London. Moving out of my home environment opened my eyes to life beyond what I had known, and it was during this time that my spiritual path became more activated, guiding me to where I am now. And boy, was it a ride!

The Activation…

It all started around 10 years ago, when I attended a spiritual event by chance. Long before spiritual gatherings were part of the popular domain, it was still a very misunderstood concept. I had met a photographer who was publishing a spiritual magazine and was hosting a launch event that included a Cacao ceremony and sound bath, both of which at the time I had never heard of before. Not knowing what I was walking into, I left with a feeling of peace I had never felt . My whole body felt different, the light, the sound were so much clearer. It was like i was high without being high. I left the ceremony with a feeling I cannot quite describe, but with a knowing I wanted to feel like that EVERY single day for the rest of my life.

What I now know is the 'fancy science' behind it: in short, sound baths use instruments to create vibrational frequencies that stimulate and relax the nervous system. It was here that I first experienced the power of energy healing!

I was in awe of this experience and wanted to learn more about these ceremonies. It opened up a world of healing I had never known, from crystal healing, to energy healing, shamanic journeying, and past life regression. Over the years, each experience activated and shed parts of me I wasn’t aware of, bringing me closer to the peace I felt from that first ceremonial event.

One of the most profound moments of my journey happened in Ibiza, tucked away in the hills of the north. There, I had an unexpected encounter with someone from the Yawanawá tribe of the Brazilian Amazon. At the time, I wasn’t in the best place, so this meeting felt like a gift from the spirits. Unknown to me, it was exactly the medicine I needed.

It’s a story for another time, but I’ll say this: it was here that I had the most POWERFUL awakening of my life. No herbs or plants were harmed in the process, just me swimming through what Carl Jung might call the 'swamplands' of my psyche. It felt like my life flashed before my eyes, forcing me to confront, quite frankly, a lifetime of societal, cultural, and toxic bullsh*t! Sh*t teachers, sh*t men, the mean girls, family and every other person and belief system I’d been conditioned to hold! You name it, it all came up!

What began as personal curiosity evolved into a deep, ongoing journey of growth and healing. Everything shifted again when I decided to take a Reiki course, which involved an attunement process to be able to use Reiki energy. Even then, it was just for personal knowledge. But after my attunement, I began having some interesting experiences. My psychic senses became heightened, and I started sensing and feeling things beyond the ordinary. Yet, as I attempted to step back into my usual routines, I found that although the world around me looked the same, I had changed. I had to learn how to navigate this new awareness, and without realising it, I was being guided down another path.

A tarot reading with a psychic encouraged me to continue on this journey, and it was my curiosity for self-development that led me to train in Quantum Healing, Light Language, ceremonial circles, and embodiment practices. Self-healing played a huge part in understanding this world and initiated me into the process. Learning about myself became a positive addiction, and I embraced every part of the journey, knowing that on the other side lay my inner peace and freedom, -the same feeling I was seeking from my first ceremonial event.

As I continued with self-enquiry and healing, I found myself drawn to my true passions, rediscovering parts of me that I had once shut down. New opportunities began to come my way, each one feeling more aligned with who I was becoming.

For me, alignment has always been closely tied to creativity. Whether through art, music, writing, or fashion, everything I create carries a higher purpose: to form a language that connects with others. I never realised, back then, how deeply creativity is linked to spiritual practices, acting as a bridge between the seen and unseen worlds. As Leo Rutherford says, ‘Creativity and imagination are the lifeblood of shamanic practice.

I guess, in the end, I did become that artist witch …turns out, it’s a real job after all! ;)

I’ve consciously embodied this process to understand what true transformation looks like, which led me to create Cosmic Essence, a space to share my work, insights, and provide access to new methods of healing.

You don’t need to suffer. You don’t need to do it alone. You can create change through embodied rituals that reconnect you to yourself and to something greater.

My mission is to help you uncover your true essence. We all have untapped potential, and I’m here to support you in unlocking it. As Starhawk says, 'Any ritual is an opportunity for transformation. To do a ritual, you must be willing to be transformed in some way.' Ritual is at the centre of what I practice and teach, and this willingness to be transformed is where the medicine is. It’s what led me down this path and the reason why I created Cosmic Essence.

“If you aren’t willing to be changed by the ritual, don’t do it.” - Starhawk.

Everyone has the power to change. The question is, are you ready?

Outside the cosmos…

I am a fiery Aries rising with an airy Gemini sun to fan the flames and just to mix things up, my moon in Pisces likes to get a bit deep and dreamy.

I usually have a book in every corner of my home and often have several reads on the go! When I'm not reading, I’m writing. When I’m not writing, I’m sticking paint on scraps of images, turning them into what I call art! And when I’m not sticking paint on paper, you’ll usually find me sticking it on people’s faces!

Currently, I’m studying hypnotherapy and shamanism, and I cannot wait to bring these into my Cosmic work!
